Mike Harrison
Mike is a Mechanical and Structural Engineering specialist with over 35 years of experience internationally. He brings an extensive and unique skillset to Catalyst, supporting the tax team and ensuring technically robust R&D incentive claims.
With a background spanning manufacturing, materials, and commissioning, Mike is a natural problem solver. He co-founded a successful engineering company, later acquired by Swedish industrial giant Trelleborg in 2001. As their Engineering Director, he aided development of the Marine Systems division through organic growth and strategic acquisitions to a tenfold increase of $150 million in annual sales revenue.
In 2011 Mike pivoted to consultancy and excelled in roles including forensic engineering Expert Witness and specialist advisor to many high-profile clients. He has contracted to the Royal Navy and many specialist manufacturers, providing then with materials, production and operations expertise. Since 2019 Mike has been using his skills to identify and assimilate R&D project information with numerous and diverse engineering clients.
When he has a spare moment, Mike is out sailing and is currently planning to sail across the Atlantic.
