Anna Szymanska
Anna is a qualified Solicitor. Initially working in defendant civil litigation, she has spent the last 29 years of her professional career specialising in tax.
Her tax career spans three countries and includes assisting clients with the tax and legal implications of having globally mobile staff. She worked alongside the Polish Government’s department of Labour and Social Policy in the late 1990’s, during their preparations for the introduction of a new, three tier pension system, presenting to her clients the potential tax implications of those changes.
Anna returned to the UK in 2006 and continued working in expatriate taxation with the Big 4, and later dealing with UK investor tax reporting for a private bank, before joining the R&D Industry over 6 years ago. She provides significant experience in supporting robust claims, and supporting on R&D Enquiries.
Anna brings her tax and regulatory compliance skillset to Catalyst, where she works alongside the team to ensure that the highest standards are maintained.
In her spare time Anna’s two main passions are reading, in particular crime fiction, and going to the cinema on a regular basis.
