Tom has spent over a decade driving growth across FMCG, maritime and manufacturing, focusing on delivering bespoke, client-centric solutions.

His career has been built on the belief that effective sales isn’t about transactions, but understanding each client’s unique challenges and taking a consultative approach to helping them succeed.

At Catalyst R&D, Tom leads business growth through strong partnerships, clear communication, and a technical understanding of how innovation incentives can support businesses. He regularly contributes to university roundtables, drop-in clinics, and innovation network events, helping founders, spin-outs and SMEs understand the support available to them and how to access funding that fuels their growth. He specialises in empowering teams, nurturing long-term relationships, and ensuring innovative businesses receive proactive, expert-led support.

Tom is passionate about levelling the playing field for start-ups and SMEs, giving them fair access to the specialist advice typically reserved for larger organisations. Helping people succeed, both clients and colleague, is what motivates him every day.

Well-travelled, Tom has worked across Africa, including time in Nigeria, Morocco, and Mauritania. These experiences have shaped his personable, grounded approach and his ability to build rapport with people from all backgrounds.
